The Solitario from Fresno Canyon 106-2
Fresno Canyon, Big Bend Ranch State Park
Standing on the edge of Fresno Canyon in Big Bend Ranch State Park felt like a dream. In front of me, a vast canyon spreads out, and across the gorge rose the Solitario, a circular dome measuring around 52 miles. After beginning a hike to reach this location both in the dark and in the rain, the sky began to break, allowing light to filter through and light up the clouds. Even in the midst of the beauty and in trying to capture the fleeting moment, I still had to pause and taken in amazing light show - and just say thank for the opportunity. This sunrise was one of the most beautiful I've experienced while photographing our Lone Star State. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
