Road to El Capitan and Guadalupe Peak
Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Guadalupe Peak is the highest peak in Texas at 8,751 feet in elevation. El Capitan is just below that as the 8th highest at 8,064 feet. This is the road that leads north into Guadalupe Mountains National Park. In this view, El Cap is in front of Guadalupe Peak and actually appears as the taller of the two. Both offer stunning scenery and a wonderful hike. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
