Sunrise over Fresno Canyon 1, BBRSP
Fresno Canyon, Big Bend Ranch State Park
From the edge of a cliff overlooking Fresno Canyon and the stunning Solitario, the remote landscape of Big Bend Ranch State Park beautiful on this October morning. The sun’s first rays stream over the distant mountains, and far below the rugged land in the valley beckons, green from recent rains. I love my time in this remote region that is little known by most Texans, and seen by even fewer. The trek to reach this point covered only about 2.5 miles of hiking, but before that required 30+ miles of driving over dirt road. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
