Seljalandsfoss Morning 2

South Iceland

The Seljalands River flows down to the Atlantic Ocean from Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. Along the way, it takes several falls, the most famous being Seljalandsfoss. Here, the river drops 60 meters (197 feet). One of the unique aspects of this south Iceland waterfall, and one that draws tourists and locals, is the path that allows a person to walk behind the waterfall. But bring raingear. You'll get a soaking! Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
