Rattlesnake in the Guadalupe Mountains
McKittrick Canyon, Guadalupe Mountains
Atop the “Notch” at around 7,000 feet on the McKittrick Canyon trail, I sat down to enjoy the view and take a drink of gatorade. As I reclined against a rock wall, I looked over and noticed my friend here looking back at my, possibly a little perturbed at my presence. I slowly got up and backed away, giving this rattlesnake plenty of space. Yikes! Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
