Prickly Pear Sunset at Big Bend 3
Big Bend National Park
Storm clouds gave way to amazing light in the evening sky on this evening in Big Bend National Park. The prickly pear cacti were blooming in the lower elevations of the Chisoso Mountains. Here, on the western slope in the Chihuahuan Desert, lightening and thunder raged in the south, but the sun was able to break through the storms and light up the fading evening for a few minutes.
