Pedernales River Pool before Sunrise 827-1
Pedernales Falls State Park
On a quiet summer morning, the crescent moon rises in the east just minutes ahead of the sun’s first peek over the horizon. Seen here from a cascade at Pedernales Falls State Park, the morning and the still waters of a clear pool made for a beautiful landscape to both enjoy the silence and photograph.
Sometimes I have to get a little wet when practicing my craft, and this was one of those times. My tripod was set up in the middle of the cascade and I held onto its legs to keep it stable during the long exposures as water rushed around and down the limestone rocks. The current was warm and the morning peaceful. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
