Mission Concepcion 6 - San Antonio, Texas
Mission Concepción, formally known as Mission Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción de Acuña, stands just south of downtown San Antonio. This stone church took nearly 15 years to complete and was finally dedicated in 1755. The structure is an example of Spanish Colonial architecture, and because of its superior quality design, the building remains much the same as it was more than 250 years ago. This images shows the old Spanish mission as a full moon rises over Texas on a warm summer evening. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
