Enchanted Rock

On this nearly perfect evening, I photographed the Milky Way from several locations at Enchanted Rock State Park. From a good distance away, this granite monolith looks small and unassuming under the graduer of the night sky. High clouds caught a small amount of light in this long exposure and added to the movement in the sky. This Texas Hill Country image looks south. To the east is Turkey Peak, and my trail back to the car winds between this small summit and Enchanted Rock.
