Lost Mine Under a Full Moon 1
Big Bend National Park
I had hiked up to Lost Mine, a relatively easy trail that covers about 5 miles round trip, to shoot the Chisos Mountains at Big Bend National Park both at sunset and under a full moon. The sunset was spectacular, but when the full moon arrived in the east, the clouds began to clear. I noticed this tree behind me with the moon in the background and captured this fleeting moment alone on a high mountain ridge. The long exposure gives the moon a "burst" similar to a sunburst. I lingered here for a few hours, enjoying the shadows and view given by the light of the rising moon. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
