Lost Maples Autumn Afternoon 1112-1
Lost Maples State Natural Area
The clouds and fog finally broke around noon and the beauty of Lost Maples emerged on this cool November afternoon. The maples were turning orange and red, the blue skies were out, and I was high up on the East Trail away from the crowds. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon in the Hill Country. In full disclosure, the West Trail can be seen from this view, but I was so frustrated waiting for people to make their way down and exit the photo, I finally gave up and just covered up the trail with more trees :-).
