Icebergs of Jokulsarlon Bay 3

Jökulsárlón Bay, Southeast Iceland

In Jökulsárlón Bay, blocks of ice over 1,000 years old break off from Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and drift in the clean, blue water, eventually melting or flowing out into the ocean. The bay is 248 meters deep (814 feet), and it is Iceland's deepest lake. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
