Icebergs of Jökulsárlón Bay 2

South Iceland

Icebergs pile up at the exit of Jökulsárlón Bay on their way out to the Atlantic. Ninety percent of the iceberg is underwater, and as these blocks of ice make their way out to the ocean, they often scrape the bottom of the bay and either must melt, break up, or get pushed out of the narrow exit to finish their thousand year journey from Breiðamerkurjökull glacier.
