Djúpalónssandur Beach on a Sunny Afternoon 2
Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland
The black sands of Djúpalónssandur Beach along the coast of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula are beautiful to explore, washed-up British trawler from 1948 and all. But if the legends are accurate, I'd refrain from visiting in the dark unless you want ghostly spirits from shipwreck's past to accompany you on your stroll. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
