Davis Mountains Sunrise Panorama 4
Davis Mountains State Park
A sunburst appears over a distant ridge in this panorama from Davis Mountains State Park. This photograph consists of 21 images stitched and blended together to show the beautiful morning landscape in this remote and less traveled state park. The old stone building was constructed in the 1930s by the CCC when the park was newly created by the Texas Parks Department. Located half-way between Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Big Bend National Park, this little state park is worth exploring, and Fort Davis National Historic Site -and the town of Fort Davis - is just a two mile hike down the trail.
