Chisos Mountains before Dawn 1
Big Bend National Park
Under the light of the full moon setting in the west, the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National park are bathed in a soft light. This long exposure shows the foreground in an eerie light. Overhead, the stars are just beginning to fade as daylight is on the horizon. The stars were taken with a separate long exposure with help from a star tracker. The two images were blended together in order to show the stars as sharp as possible, thus avoiding "trailing" as the pinpoints of light move across the night sky. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
