Bluebonnets and Cerro Castellan Morning 221-2
Cerro Castellan, Big Bend National Park
This morning photograph comes from the western side of the Chisos Mountains and looks west towards the well-known landmark, Cerro Castellan, and opening of Santa Elena Canyon in the distance (to the right of the prominent landmark). The bluebonnet bloom of 2019 was amazing - the best in many years. On this morning, the temps were in the 30s and the landscape was rugged and beautfiul. I always love my time exploring in Big Bend.
