Big Bend Agave at the South Rim 2
Big Bend National Park
The South Rim of Big Bend National Park looks south across the foothills of the Chisos Mountains, across the Rio Grande, and into the desert of Mexico. From this lofty ledge, agave cacti hold onto the rocky vantage point as a beautiful sunset sweeps across the Texas sky. One of the legs of my tripod was only inches away from the edge of the cliff, but photographs like this are why you make the 13+ mile round trip to this amazing and remote location.
