Beach Morning Glory on South Padre Island Beach 510-1
South Padre Island
These white flowers, commonly called Beach Morning Glory, love the sand dunes along South Padre Island’s sunny beaches. This photograph was taken in mid-May on a breezy and humid evening. Seagulls drifted all around and kept an eye on me, perhaps wanting a free meal. I love walking on the beaches before the tourists arrive. Often, I can find outcrops of these flowers, verbena, or primrose blooming in spring. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
