Austin Summer Skyline Panorama 728-1
From the top floor of the Hyatt, this panorama shows the Austin skyline on a warm summer evening just after sunset. Folks were lined up along Congress Avenue (bottom right) awaiting the nightly departure of the bats. Across the waters of Ladybird Lake, the Austonian reached 683’ into the warm night. Just behind it, the iconic Frost Tower began to show its colorful lights. The tallest building in the skyline rose 690’ into the air - the Independent (also known as the Jenga Tower for its unusual design) - on the far left of the skyline.
