I wasn’t expecting to have any color in the skies on this morning while flying over South Padre Island’s beach. From somewhere, the sun’s first light painted a small portion of the sky in pink hues for about one minute before fading quickly as the clouds moved in for the day. Still, it was a beautiful morning along this stretch of Texas coast. In the distance, the resort area of South Padre can be seen as folks were just waking up from the day.
