Enchanted Rock State Park
I knew the three-quarters moon would be setting just before 4am, so I had to leave my house pretty early. The foreground was taken before the moonset, and I used the moonlight to illuminate the yucca and valley below. After the moon's light fell below the horizon, I took the image of the Milky Way rising in the south over the Texas Hill Country. Back home, I blended the two images together to create what I saw that early morning at Enchanted Rock State Park. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
