Rosy Paintbrush in the Rocky Mountains 2
Berthoud Pass, Colorado
In late July, rosy paintbrush, one of Colorado’s most beautiful wildflowers, blooms in a meadow high atop Butler Gulch. The trail leading up to this area is only about two miles each way, and while steep, offers a rewarding view when the flowers are putting on their summer show. This Colorado image was taken at sunrise on a very cold summer morning. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
