Lost Mine Sunset Panorama 5

Lost Mine Trail

The Lost Mine Trail is one of my favorite hikes in Big Bend National Park. It isn't too far - only about 5 miles round trip after you explore all the extra side trails. It isn't too difficult - only about 2000 veritical feet. The views are incredible. At the end of the walk, you have vistas that look across Juniper Canyon and into the distant remants of this Chisos Mountains and even into Mexico.

This panorama was taken in late March as the sun set across the valley. I lingered on this night to photograph the full moon lighting up the canyon, so the walk back in the dark only intensified what was an amazing evening.

This panorama can be printed in larger and custom sizes.
