Colorado Wildflowers near Butler Gulch 5
Berthoud Pass, Colorado
To reach this location by first light near Berthoud Pass, Colorado, I have to leave my house about 345am on a July morning. The short 2.5 mile grunt in the dark is worth it, though, when you find fields of wildflowers, and it helps when the sky lights up, s well. Here, a variety of Colorado wildflowers filled the meadow in reds, golds, purples, and pinks - a nice contrast to the lush green grass. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
